The Merola Siblings
A complete copy of Mary Merola Scovotti's autobiographical sketch entitled
"My Family, My Life" is on the MerolaFamily.com web site. I have read her manuscript many
times and I can still hear the voice of this 4' - 11" Italian American.
Despite only three years of formal education, Mary helped make a successful marriage that lasted sixty four years; raised
five hard working and prosperous children; frequently took care of her nine sibling brothers and sisters and was a
peace keeper of The Family into her nineties. Her last sibling, her sister Louise, passed away in August 2003.
Over the last few years a lot of data has surfaced regarding the Merola family. Because of this it has been decided in
April 2007 to expand to a third web site. Of course the third web site is called www.MerolaFamily.Com.
I apologize in advance to those I bother for information. As I see it, the number of those having first hand information
about Mary will continue to shrink. With their passing goes the stories; the family pictures and the memories.

There is one thing I know for sure, Mary loved her family and that included all her brothers and sisters. I will keep
trying to complete this work for those that follow and hope all that take the time to read about the family, will take some
pleasure from learning about Mary.
I am guessing that the following picture was taken between 1928 and 1932. The interesting aspect to the picture is that there
are no spouces. Mary had been married since 1907 and her father Luigi had been married twice since Rosa's passing. For some reason THE FAMILY
just wanted a picture together. Many pictures of the siblings came from this group shot, for I had no other pictures of some of the
siblings in their youth.
