Most of us are curious as to how a married couple managed to meet each other. This is Tina and Anthony's story, as told by Tina Scovotti:

One Sunday afternoon, Tina and a friend met at Violet's house with the intention of going to a movie. As they were about to leave Violet spotted Anthony, dressed in his sailor uniform, walking past the house. He had been home on leave and was about to return to his base in California in a couple of days. While Violet and her friend had known him from their schooldays, Tina and Anthony met for the very first time that day!

Violet invited Anthony in to have a drink and after an hour of lively conversation, Anthony suggested he'd like to take all three of them to the elegant Paradise Theater and for a pizza afterward. They happily agreed and the evening turned out to be lots of fun.

Anthony had spent most of his four years of service in the South Pacific. He was now stationed in California where he was waiting to be discharged by the end of the year.

When he finally did return home, he called Tina for a date and from that day forward they were inseparable.

By the following Christmas, and two days after the blizzard of 1947, they were married. Two hundred guests managed to weather the snow storm to attend a joyous wedding reception.

A very happy conclusion to this story is that in the following years, Tina and Anthony were blessed with two sons and a daughter and nine grandchildren.
